SkyWalking RocketBot UI Intellectual Property (IP) Clearance Status

Description

A new UI of SkyWalking has been developed outwith the ASF and the developers would like to contribute it to the Apache SkyWalking project.

Project info

  • The Apache SkyWalking PMC will be responsible for the code.
  • It will be integrated into the Apache SkyWalking project, replace the existing UI.
  • Sheng Wu (Apache SkyWalking V.P.) will be managing this contribution.

It is only necessary to transfer rights for the package, the core code, and any new code produced by the project. Confirmed, grant via email with PDF sent from Grissom Wang CAO of DaoCloud at 03:43 on 22 Apr 2019, acknowledged by Matt Sicker ASF Secretary at 16:14 on 23 Apr 2018.
25 Apr 2019 Check and make sure that the files that have been donated have been updated to reflect the new ASF copyright. Confirmed. ASF header added and checked.

23 Apr 2019 Check that all active committers have a signed CLA on record. Confirmed, SGA and ICLAs on file as noted above.
25 Apr 2018 Check and make sure that for all items included with the distribution that is not under the Apache license, we have the right to combine with Apache-licensed code and redistribute. Confirmed, there is no 3rd-party code included with the source distribution, and 3rd-party code downloaded and use as part of the build complies with ASF license policy (mainly MIT and BSD licenses).
25 Jul 2018 Check and make sure that all items depended upon by the project is covered by one or more of the following approved licenses: Apache, BSD, Artistic, MIT/X, MIT/W3C, MPL 1.1, or something with essentially the same terms. Confirmed, third party dependencies reviewed and are compliant.

Generally, the result of checking off these items will be a Software Grant, CLA, and Corporate CLA for ASF licensed code, which must have no dependencies upon items whose licenses that are incompatible with the Apache License.
