OpenWhisk Composer Python Codebase Intellectual Property (IP) Clearance Status

Composer is a new programming model for composing cloud functions built on Apache OpenWhisk. The donated codebase consists of 2,300 lines of Python and 1,400 lines of READMEs and other documentation/text.

The donated code base was developed by IBM and was previously available at https://github.com/ibm-functions/composer-python under the Apache 2 license. The donated code base has 2 contributors: Nick Mitchell and Lionel Villard. Both of them are IBM employees who have Apache CLAs already on file as noted below.

2018-11-26	Check and make sure that the papers that transfer rights to the ASF been received. It is only necessary to transfer rights for the package, the core code, and any new code produced by the project.
2018-11-26	Check and make sure that the files that have been donated have been updated to reflect the new ASF copyright. Still need to update Copyright from IBM to ASF in two files: ./src/openwhisk/openwhisk.py and ./src/conductor/conductor.py

Identify name recorded for software grant: the name of the grant as recorded in the foundation/officers area, in either grants.txt or cclas.txt, so that the grant can be easily identified. If recorded in the grants.txt document, use the "for" or title. If recorded in the cclas.txt document, use the company name (field 2 without submitter name) and the "form on file" name (field 4, without any people's names).
