Road Map
Before an initial release
- Replace Thrift with something that provides authentication and encryption (at least for the core communications in the system)
- Provide ACLs for disk images
- Demonstrate the ability to run HDFS on a set of hosts and the Hadoop JobTrackers in virtual machines while maintaining data-local performance
- Integrate with PRS
Long-term
- Add support for atleast one slice-based virtual machine manager
